I’m sorry, but the show basically died for me when Aizen left. In a weird way, he was the entertaining front for a show that had some serious structural problems (the whole ‘Asahi’s a crystal’ subplot and the rationale behind the return of Mio were both incredibly frustrating). I’m not going to pin the mess on Saki Mitsurugi though, both she and Aizen could’ve coexisted wonderfully for those final nine episodes and could’ve kept their payoffs. But no, they just drained the magical energy that made this show fun and forced multiple subplots in to try and keep me involved.
